Rose Academies - Uganda

Rose Academies - Uganda serves rural Ugandan communities by improving access to education on health, nutrition, menstrual hygiene, and job skills, helping prevent disease, strengthen families, and support children’s growth. Their programs are designed to address the lack of healthcare information that often leads to preventable deaths. Their Ugandan educators take these lessons directly into villages, closing the gap for communities with little or no access to vital knowledge.

Our Project

A Raspberry Pi–powered offline content server that creates its own Wi-Fi network, allowing teachers and students in rural Uganda to access educational and healthcare resources without internet. Teachers can upload, organize, and tag lesson materials, while students can browse, search, and download content on their devices. Designed for off-grid environments, the system supports solar or battery power and provides a sustainable way to deliver up-to-date, trusted information directly into villages.
