Mee Panyar supports rural communities in Myanmar in the operation and maintenance of decentralized solar mini-grids that provide reliable, sustainable energy. This work aims to not only help rural electricians transition from diesel to solar (reducing carbon emissions by 60% and electricity prices by 50%) but to ensure long-term maintenance and proper operation of these new systems through the provision of formal education and support to rural electricians.
We’re building an instructional mobile app with offline functionality for local technicians/engineers in rural areas to help them operate and maintain decentralized solar mini-grids that provide reliable, sustainable energy.
