For nearly 90 years, the Berkeley Student Cooperative (BSC) has provided a quality, low-cost, cooperative housing community to university students who might not otherwise be able to afford a university education. BSC strongly prompts the values of anti-discrimination and access to education; it currently provides meals and/or housing to over 1300 Berkeley students.
The goal of our project is to build a work shift management web application that will allow co-op students to submit their shift preferences, view assigned tasks, and submit proof upon completion. It will also allow admin to assign tasks to students and track their progress. We aim to streamline BSC’s task tracking to replace an outdated process and reduce their logistical burden.
